Lisans eğitiminin genellikle dört yıl olduğu ülkemizde, Yükseköğretim Kurulu (YÖK) Başkanı Erol Özvar'ın yapmış olduğu duyuruda: Üniversiteyi üç yılda bitirme uygulaması gelecek yıl hayata geçeceğini söyledi.
YÖK President Erol Özvar said the following at the "University-Industry Cooperation" commission, which consists of rectors from certain universities and industry representatives:
As YÖK, together with our universities, we want to enable our students who meet the requirements and are successful to complete their higher education and graduate in a shorter period of time. Successful students who wish to do so should be able to finish school earlier. I would like to mention that we are working on this.
The important thing here is that the program outputs, the curriculum, are understood, tested, and delivered by the student. What we want to do is not to take some of the skills that the child can acquire and obtain outside the curriculum. We want to pave the way for students who can complete the same curriculum or the updated curriculum in a shorter period of time.
